Oct 2024 Grant Dates

Awesome Foundation Rhode Island is a local chapter of Awesome Foundation. We were founded in late 2023, and issue a monthly gift or $1,000 in support of people and ideas of benefit to the Ocean State. We are not a 501c3 non-profit. We all live in Rhode Island. This is chapter’s micro-site; the actual grants portal is here.

Grant Basics

Anyone with a project or idea in need of $1,000 is encouraged to apply. Each month, our definition of ‘awesome’ gets defined by the applications we receive and as a new chapter, we’re keeping it pretty loose.

Who Can Apply?

Each Trustee (individual or shared seat) is asked to identify (3) proposals they think are awesome. Projects with the most up-votes are discussed in-person. We aim for consensus, but grants can be issued by a 6-4 majority vote. Not-getting a grant from us doesn’t mean we didn’t think your project was awesome, and we encourage re-application.
